For the fifth time in nine years, the Astros and Braves met in an NL Division Series. (The Braves won the first three meetings in 1997, 1999 and 2001 before the Astros won a playoff series for the first time in 2004.) Trying to force a trip back to Atlanta for Game 5, the Braves held a 6-1 lead after 7½ innings.

Lance Berkman made it 6-5 with a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth, and Brad Ausmus homered in the ninth to tie the score at 6. That’s how things stayed until the bottom of the 18th, when Chris Burke hit a walkoff solo homer to give the Astros the game and the series.
