Harmon Killebrew 520' Home Run Poster
Minnesota Twins legend and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew hit the longest home run ever at the old Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington.
“Hammerin’ Harmon” hit the home run 520 feet, but a revised estimate now puts it at 522 feet. It landed six rows into the upper deck of left field — the ball was hit so hard it shattered two seats.
The stadium was torn down to make way for the Mall of America. But in a nod to history, at Nickelodeon Universe, there’s a replica of where home plate was located at the old Met Stadium and a red seat high up on the wall, 520 feet away, showing how far that Killebrew home run went.
Target Field has a giant bronze glove 520 feet from home plate that also commemorates the historic home run.
This Minnesota Twins poster makes for a perfect gift for the Twins fan in your life. It would complete any office, game room or man cave of an Twins fan. And you don't even have to worry about a frame - all prints ship framed.
