Nationals Zimmerman Mr. Walk-Off - 12" x 16" Print
Entering his third season with the Nationals, Ryan Zimmerman had already developed a flair for the dramatic. The young star hit three walk-off home runs in his first two seasons in the league. Zim spent his first couple of seasons raking at RFK Stadium in D.C. For the 2008 season, the Nats finally had a field that was truly their own. Zimmerman christened the brand-new Nationals Park on Opening Night, breaking a 2-2 tie with a two-out drive to deep center to kick off the stadium’s inaugural season. His fourth game-winning shot earned him the nickname “Mr. Walk-Off.” Zimmerman has kept living up to the name, ranking among the all-time leaders with 10 walk-off homers.
